No, I haven't tried it with PSP.  I've only used SimpleTAL 
<http://www.owlfish.com/software/simpleTAL/> with mod_python.  When 
editing SimpleTAL templates I have set up kate to "colorize" them as 
though they are HTML.  It works well for me.
