[mod_python] req.connection.user

Hi.

I'm trying to set up authentication based on the example given in the
tutorial. Everything seems to work, except that i get Null instead of
the username for req.connection.user.

So that if I just test for password with req.get_basic_auth_pw() and not
for user, I get "through" the basic authentication.

The source I'm using is taken straight from the tutorial. 

Any ideas? I'm using the preinstalled apache 1.3.9 on OpenBSD 2.6, with
mod_python as a DSO. I've tried both versions 2.2 and 2.4.
