This looks like an interesting product. Syntactially it is very
similar to simpleTAL. I was interested in simpleTAL becuase it is
syntactically identical to the way TAL works in zope.

Obviously there are a lot of 'contextual' differences since there is
not zope framework running around simpleTAL. I'll have to look at
genshi more closely.
