You are mistaken. This is how Google checks the way a site responds to 
404 errors. It is *intentionally* requesting a file it assumes will not 
exist. They tend to guard their reasons, but it could be a way to 
distinguish domain parkers or link farms. It's safe to ignore this and 
move on.
