This is a bit of a weakness right now. Take a look at the current
documentation. http://www.modpython.org/live/current/doc-html/

You'll find the people on this list are pretty helpful, so starting
playing around with it and feel free to ask questions here.

No. Mod_python is an apache module and as such will only run within
apache. For best success you should be using apache 2.0 and mod_python
3.2.8 (or 3.2.9, which will likely be released in the next day or so).
