[mod_python] GET is slow but POST isn't?

Since my recent upgrade I've noticed that it's difficult to connect to 
my mod_python service using GET. When I try it is very slow and often I 
can not connect at all. POST connections on the other hand seem to work 
just fine.

I use POST for XMLRPC traffic and GET shows online docs for the methods 
available as HTML.
