[mod_python] OS X Issue

I can't get mod_python working in Mac OS X because of the followin error
from apache after I've compiled and installed and modified the httpd.conf:

[Mon Aug 13 10:38:00 2001] [warn] Loaded DSO
/usr/libexec/httpd/mod_python.so uses plain Apache 1.3 API, this module
might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it with -DEAPI)

Any ideas are appreaciated.
