To let everyone know:

We were unable to fix this issue, and ended up switching to using CGI. If
anyone else starts seeing mod_python crashes after applying updates on
Windows 2003 I'd like to hear about it.

Subject: [mod_python] mod_python crash

I'm running Trac on Apache 2.2.3 and mod_python 3.2.10 on a Windows 2003
server machine. We've had everything up and running successfully until
recently this past weekend. We installed the Windows updates Friday night
and rebooted the machine. No configuration changes were made and we didn't
install any other software or anything.

Now when trying to hit any page utilizing mod_python, it crashes. Apache
reports that it is an access violation exception, and the event log contains
the following error:

Faulting application httpd.exe, version 2.2.3.0, faulting module
python24.dll, version 2.4.3150.1012, fault address 0x000ab91f.

I'm also unable to bring up the test handler as outlined in the
troubleshooting section of the doc.

Has anyone else seen this error or have any ideas on things to try to fix
it? As I said, we didn't make any configuration changes..

Thanks,

Matt Purkeypile
