[mod_python] GET is slow but POST isn't?

Have you tried going back to square one and tried a simple mptest like 
handler,
executing it just after an Apache restart and before your XML-RPC 
handler is called.
Ie., does it affect the most simplest cases, or just your XML-RPC 
handler.
