[mod_python] Failed to acquire global mutex lock when using Session

M upgrade to 3.1.2.b now looks fine now. I removed config.cache as 
Grisha suggested and passed the location of the new python to the 
configre command as per Kevin help. I checked and I am using the right 
version of python (2.3) from mod_python.

However, I still get this message:

Failed to acquire global mutex lock

When I try to use the Session object. 

Any help on how to trouble shoot this problem?
