[mod_python] Mod_python disables mod_dav

I'm using Apache 2.0.48 (it happened to 2.0.47 too) with the built-in
mod_dav module and mod_python 3.1.2b/Python-2.3.2 and PHP/4.3.4.

I can't understand why but unless I disable mod_python (by commenting
the LoadModule directive), DAV will not work. It just returns a "405
Method is not allowed" error. 

I've tried different DAV setups and clients, and nothing - unless I
disable mod_python it wont work...

Now I think that with older versions of mod_python this did not happen -
but I'm not sure. I'll have to recheck that.

Does anyone know why this could happen?!?
