[mod_python] Problems getting mod_python to work on Windows NT4.0

This morning I took my first attempt at getting mod_python to work on
Windows NT4.0
under Apache 2.0.47 and Python 2.3. I could not get the simple test from:

http://www.modpython.org/live/current/doc-html/inst-testing.html

to work. All I got was the following error:

[Sat Aug 30 12:23:09 2003] [error] make_obcallback: could not import
mod_python.apache.

I tried both

   mod_python-3.0.3.win32.exe

and

   mod_python-3.1.0a.win32-py2.3.exe

and both gave the same errors.

In the end I noticed in the mailing list archives that some people had
success after reverting to
Python 2.2. So I installed a copy of Python 2.2.2 on my system (I did
not remove my Python 2.3)
and reinstalled mod_python 3.0.3.

Without changing anything else it started to work.

Regards,

Stephen
