Sourceforge is moving progressively from free (as in free speech) to
proprietary, read this on lwn : http://lwn.net/Articles/7480/

It makes it hard to move a project out of sourceforge if you change
your mind.

Savannah is a free clone of sourceforge : http://savannah.gnu.org/

For the mailing list, I could host it, I already have some mailman lists,
the administrator can contact me if needed.
