[mod_python] Apache segfaults on startup

I compiled mod_python as a DSO. It compiled OK, and so I installed
it into libexec and put the appropriate magic into httpd.conf.
Subsequently, running apache causes it to seg. I noticed the FAQ
answer so I put made sure the module was loaded first, but it
still segs. How can I track down this problem?

OS: Solaris 8
Compiler: GCC 2.8.1
Python : 1.5.2
Apache: 1.3.9
